Desde su regreso a las canchas tras la lesión sufrida en el antebrazo izquierdo, sucedido hace casi un año en los Estados Unidos en un partido de la Superliga 2008, Luis Michel recobró su puesto titular en el arco del Guadalajara y además de no soltarlo, fue de los elementos que más se destacó en el Clausura 2009.

Pues gracias a sus actuaciones en partidos claves del campeonato y de regresar de inmediato a la regularidad de la actividad que se le conoce, el guardavallas de Chivas fue el elemento que más se destacó de entre el gusto de la afición, manifestada en la página de internet oficial de Chivas en la pasada semana.

Ya que dentro de la habitual encuesta semanal, publicada en el website oficial del equipo más popular del país, Luis Michel fue el jugador que más sufragios de felicitación recibió por parte de los cibernautas rojiblancos, quienes durante los siete días anteriores se manifestaron en referencia al accionar de Chivas en el Clausura 2009.

Ya que a pregunta expresa de ¿qué línea te parece que realizó el mejor trabajo en el Clausura 2009?, con un arrasador 69 por ciento de las poco más de diez mil votaciones registradas, Luis Ernesto Michel Vergara se convirtió en el elemento que más calificaciones positivas recibió de parte de los fanáticos rojiblancos.

Con el 15 por ciento del total de los votos recibidos, la media cancha del Rebaño, que durante el campeonato alternó con Ponce, Báez, Ponce, Morales, Solís, Araujo y Fabián, fue la segunda línea que mayor aceptación tuvo en las actuaciones que Chivas brindó a lo largo del Clausura 2009 en el Futbol Mexicano.

La defensa de Chivas, que durante el campeonato tuvo modificaciones a causa de lesiones y ausencias obligadas, fue la que finalizó en el tercer sitio, con el nueve por ciento de los sufragios emitidos por parte de la afición rojiblanca, mientras que la delantera del Rebaño, la cual también tuvo variantes a la par de la Liga Mexicana y la Copa Libertadores, fue la que menos gusto generó con tan sólo el siete por ciento de las votaciones registradas.
